Walking Disaster

Description Provided by Goodreads: Finally, the highly anticipated follow-up to the New York Times bestseller Beautiful Disaster.

Can you love someone too much?

Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder.

In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees.

Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.

Story Line: This story line is the same as the one in Beautiful Disaster except that instead of it being in Abby's perspective it is now in Travis's. I will honestly admit that I was hesitant to read it because of the repeating story line. I absolutely loved Beautiful Disaster and thought that reading this book would bore be because I knew how the book ended; however, this was far from the truth! While I did know what was going to happen next in the book I was still completely entertained and waiting to see what would happen next. This is partly due to shifting scenes that were not included in Beautiful Disaster and also due to the fact that it was Travis telling the story (enough said! lol!!).

Writing: I think it was absolutely GENIUS of Jamie McGuire to write this book in Travis's perspective. Knowing all the events that occurred in the first book just made me want to read this second book even more to know what Travis was thinking and know his deeper feelings toward Abby. Ms. McGuire's writing automatically drew me into Travis' life and struggle to be a better man for Abby. Plus, after reading the same story but from both the main characters' perspective it makes the story that more special and complete.

Relationship:
Abby&Travis: Abby and Travis's relationship is explosive, endearing, and some might say dangerous. Abby is Travis's moral compass and in turn Travis is Abby's rock. They make an amazing couple together and I loved being able to reread their story

Characters:
Abby: In this book we see Abby through Travis's eyes and it just made me enjoy her character even more. The idea of Abby being strong and independent yet flirty and fun at the same time is reenforced, which made it a complete joy to read about her in a different perspective.

Shepley&America: I found that Shepley and America were more involved or actually were mentioned more in this book than in the other. I loved learning some new things about them because they are great supporting characters. I really hope that they get their own book one day because it's would to be really cool reading more about them and their relationship.

Travis: Travis is as heroic, troublesome, gorgeous, dangerous, protective, romantic, and AMAZING as the first book!!! I loved being inside his head and experiencing his emotions as his relationship with Abby unfolds and runs into some bumps. In the book, Travis's emotions are so raw that he made me fall for him all over again!

Overall: This book had be crying in the first couple of pages where there's a small anecdote about a young Travis and his mom. That translate into meaning that the book hooked me from the very beginning. I don't really believe that you need to have read Beautiful Disaster to read this book seeing as how it's the same story line but I totally recommend you read both books. Although I must warn that you may experience some heart swooning throughout the book and will want a Travis after the book is over ;)

Rating: I would give this book a 10 out of 10!!!
