Review: Model Position

Book Description Provided by Goodreads: For Sienna, love and art are perilous games. Is she ready to take that gamble?
Sienna is a beautiful, talented artist poised on the precipice of soaring into the glamorous, yet cutthroat Manhattan art scene.
Dave Hightower is a hooked-up, handsome heir to the hippest gallery in NYC, Gallery Hightower.
Erik is the live drawing model with his sizzling green eyes fixed only on Sienna.
Three’s a crowd, so Sienna must make a choice: date Dave and ride the fast track to landing a show at Gallery Hightower and hobnobbing with the art glitterati, or follow her heart and take a chance with Erik, the stunning male model who’s stealing her heart. But Erik has some worrisome secrets, and who in their right mind would make live modeling their career? Dare Sienna throw away her chances of hitting it big to follow her heart?

Story Line: I was automatically pulled into the story before the first chapter ended!! I thought that the story line moved a little too fast for my liking but that's just because I really enjoyed reading about the characters so much that I wished the book was longer!

Writing: I loved that in the writing there are so many details and information about painting and drawing. Even though I know next to nothing about art, I found that the terms were really easy to keep up with. I also enjoyed this incorporation of art terms because it really brought out the characters' passions for it.

Relationship: Erik and Sienna's connection is so automatic and fiery that it just made me want to root for them. I thought that their relationship wasn't explored deeply enough and neither were their feelings for each other. However, this again has to do with the fact that the book was short.

Characters:
Sienna: Sienna is battling between having the "perfect" organized life with David and a questionable future with Erik, whom she doesn't really know. It was really cool to be inside Sienna's head while she was focusing on her paintings and her love of art, it kind of made me want to learn more about art! I thought that she was a good character but would have enjoyed learning more about her.

Erik: Erik is the mysterious hot model that just shows up one day in class. He is such an old fashioned gentleman that it is impossible not to fall for him!!! There is so much more to him than meets the eye but I don't want to give anything away so that's all I'll say about him. Lol!

Overall: It was a fun and quick read since the book is only about 80 pages. I really enjoyed reading this book but wish it could have been longer so that there could have been more character and plot development. However, what was present in the book was awesome-sauce!!

Rating: I would give this book an 8.5 out of 10!!!
